Bo Karlen’s journey started in his home town of 30 years in Portland, Oregon where he was a pioneer in the underground rave scene & as well as a 4 sport high school, college & professional athlete. His first party was a trip to San Francisco to see a dj named Sasha at the opening of Sound Factory. It changed his life forever! With a bigger vision in life for entertainment & music together with no limits, he transplanted to entertainment capital Las Vegas in the spring of 1996. There he started his production company, Botown Productions. With the emergence of the house music scene there, it was an easy fit for him to expand his love of people & vision of music & it’s future direction. Joining forces w/ Las Vegas nightlife legend Gino Lopinto who was already responsible for the beginning of the historical Club Utopia, they teamed up to launch the world famous Spearmint Rhino after hours which changed the way people partied across the country!

He continued to produce & promote some of the biggest parties across the country as well as his own productions including, The Annual Vegas Prom, The Fetish and Fantasy Halloween Ball, Las Vegas’s exclusive mansion parties as well as being the West Coast promoter for the Ultra Music Festival & Space for 15 years. Also, producing The Las Vegas Hotel & Unity closing parties for WMC! Since the beginning of Empire Ballroom, Botown Productions was a huge fixture in promoting the after hours & throwing some of the best theme parties in Las Vegas. His name & unique look are known world wide & he has earned the respect in the industry & amongst all dj’s & producer’s as one of the top promoter’s in the world.

In 2015, he launched Botown Global VIP Services, a full service global VIP travel , marketing, consulting company.
